Phil do you have the Willis Stucker and Wisby/Wesbey connecitons from Schuyler Co. IL? Needless to say I know now of all the Stucker lines except what is listed in a Wisby book. My Paternal Great Grandmother Frances Wisby's sister Mary M. Wisby b.1819 in Brown Co, OH m. Willis Stucker 2 Aug 1838 in Jefferson Co.Indiana. Willis b@1815 Indiana and d. 1 May 1861 in Schuyler Co. IL His parents were listed as Willis Stucker b.@1787 m. 29 Dec 1808 Grata Stone in Clark Co. IN. Willis Will witnessed 11 Feb 1861 Schuyler Co. IL by Stoddard Frwell, Thomas Wisby SR and W. G. Denny the Administrator who was appointed 20 May 1861 and states that Willis died 1 May 1861. Heirs Mary (Wisby) and the following chldren. Amanda, Thomas Henry, Andrew Jackson, Willis Jasper, Wm. Stephen, David Wisby Stucker, Perry W., Mary Ann and Isaac Clinton. These people had come to KS before a state. Wills that died in 1861 had a brother David who married Nancy EWing child of Sarah Wells and Samuel Ewing. Gets a little complicated because Thomas Wisby m. a Nancy EWing too. I have a photo of Willis Jasper Stucker. Close family referred to him as "Altho" because he usually started his sentence with Altho. Did not mean to ramble on but did not see Wisby in the Stucker forum. Noticed In Illinois statewide marriage index they have for Thomas Wisby m. Sophia Stacker 09/02/1844 in Schuyler Co. IL Perhaps someone misread handwriting. Notify Administrator about this message?
