Hello Orla.....here I am...sorry, my computer has been "on the blink !!"

My Stewart/Stuart Family was definately from this area of Co. Clare.....

The family connections are...Hogan, Scanlan,Minogue, Kelly,Rohan,Purcell, Smith and Donovan....these I know of...

Rev.Charles Stuart....not sure where he fits into the picture. There were a number of Priests and Nuns within this family.I will look into it for you.

The earliest Stuart marriage that I know of is :-

Charles Stuart married Anne Hogan. Date ?
A son... Edmund married Bridget Minogue, 1854....

Another son, Dominick married Anne Scanlan,1835.

My dilemma is that I know that my family is definately connected to these families but havn`t been able to link them up....I think our Edmund Stewart/Stuart who married Margaret Donovan , could be brother of Charles who married Anne Hogan.????
Edmund and Margaret had property at Caherhurley.

Look forward to hearing from you......

Kind regards,
Val.Stewart,
Brisbane, Australia.
