Hello Abi!

Would you please contact me directly regarding your Australian Stewarts?

I have reason to believe that your family may descend from the Stewarts of Campbeltown in Argyll who immigrated to Australia in the 1830's.

They originally stayed in Skipton, Victoria (reference to this can be found in the publication called "Victoria and Metropolis")

I have two family letters both dated 1835 from Archibald Stewart and his brother John that indicate their desire to leave Skipton and move to Rockhampton to continue their cattle and sheep business. I have located the last of the Stewart daughters (Gladys) in Geelong who wrote to me just two weeks ago after I had sent her copies of the letters written by her g.grandfather!

I look forward to hearing from you!

Charles.
