I seriously doubt that Dorothy, the widow of William Strother (1702) was the mother of his elder children, including William who married Margaret Thornton. Has no one considered the possibility the senior William Strother had another wife (or wives) besides his widow Dorothy? Is there any primary evidence that Dorothy was a daughter of Anthony Savage?
