Seeking a male surnamed STROOP (or variation) who is a patrilineal (direct male line) descendant of Matthias STROOP, the 1687 immigrant to Maryland, who ultimately settled in North Carolina. We have a donor willing to subsidize Y-chromosome DNA testing of one such descendant with $100. Subject must opt for a 67-marker test ($271 - $100 = $171), must join the STRAUB Y-chromosome DNA Surname project, and must sign the Release allowing sharing of results. Note that sharing of results does not necessarily mean sharing of identity, except with the donor, the project administrator, the testing company, and matching members. Acceptance of the test subject is at the discretion of the donor, based on a convincing paper trail connecting the test subject to Matthias STROOP. Subject must be male and must descend from Matthias on a direct male line; no females can break the chain. For further details or if you have any questions, please contact the project administrator see project web site at: http://dgmweb.net/genealogy/DNA/Straub/StraubDNA.shtml Michael Notify Administrator about this message?
