Not my line but I have the following info on this family: Godfrey Strobel married 3 May 1849 Marguerite Perry in Richmond County, Georgia. Marriage Bond in amount of $857.00 posted by Godfrey Strobel and John Hahn, Richmond county, Georgia.
Margaret Strobel's Will, dated 16 July 1898, Richmond County, Georgia mentions son, John Joseph Strobel; grandsons, Joseph, Charlie and Louis Strobel. Margaret died by 1 Aug 1898 since Warrant of Appraisement was issued by the Court of Ordinary, Richmond County, Georgia on that date, appointing P. M. Mulhern, P. Armstrong, P. H. Rice, Jno. W. Dickey and Clarence E. Clark to appraise estate.
Margaret Strobel, after gifts to her sons and grandsons, left remainder of her estate to Rev. Daniel Murphy of Augusta, Georgia and his brother Rev. Philip Murphy of Mobile, Alabama. These men were priests since she mentioned gifts to them to be "expended in defraying the expenses incidental to the saying of masses for the repose of my soul."
Daniel G. Fogarty named as executor. Wit: P. O. Callahan, E. J. Mulhern, Elizar Fogarty.
Executor D.G.Fogarty in Nov. term 1898 of Court of Ordinary, Richmond county, Georgia applied to sell 6 shares of capital stock of the Georgia Railroad and Banking Company and 7 shares of the capital stock of the Augusta Real Estate and Building Association.
