To Texas Stringers, Upshur Co. My mother-in-law, currently in her early 80's, is a grand-daughter of Jeffie Stringer Baird, wife of George Baird. She has a story to tell about Jeff Stringer, who she says she actually knew. She knows very little about her Stringer line, but thinks that her mother's father was a minister named William? Not to confuse the issue, but she reports that this minister(her g.grandfather was also married to a Seminole Indian) My mother-in-law's family settled in Upshur Co. Texas long before she was born in 1917.
