Hi, I could sure use some help!
I'm trying to fill in some holes in the above families. Mary Elizabeth Daniel b. 6 Dec 1862 in TX m. unk Stringer in Texas. They had two boys: James Daniel Stringer b. 5 Oct 1889, and Herbert L. Stringer b. Jun 1892. In 1900 Mary (Daniel) Stringer is widowed and she and her sons are living with her mother Ann E. Blanchard in Precinct 5, Milam Co. TX. WHO IS THIS MYSTERY STRINGER? WHEN AND WHERE DID THEY MARRY? WHEN AND WHERE DID HE DIE?
Ann Elizabeth Blanchard was born in Lowndes Co., AL daughter of Elizabeth Whatley (maiden name unknown), and unk Whatley. Ann had a sister Adeline, brother Edmund W. (who I believe to be living in Fort Bend TX since 1860 married to Susanna Autrey Parker), and another sister Mary A. all identified in the 1850 Lowndes Co., AL census. WHO WERE ANN'S PARENTS?
Ann's first husband was William Henry Daniel b. 17 Sep 1825 in NC to parents unk. They were married 7 Oct 1857 in Lowndes Co., and are identified on the 1855 Tax Lowndes Co Tax Rolls. Their son James Warren Daniel was born 31 Dec 1859 in AL; whereas Mary Elizabeth Daniel (who married unk Stringer, above) was born in TX in 1862. Family records list William Henry's death as 1868 but I have no other proof of where/when he died. WHO WERE HIS PARENTS? WHERE, WHEN, HOW DID HE DIE? DID HE FIGHT IN THE CIVIL WAR?
In 1880, Ann is shown in Trinity Co., TX with 2nd husband Joseph Blanchard b 1849 in FL (although possibly GA) with Mary Daniels listed as his step daughter. By 1900, Ann is widowed again and in Milam Co. as described above. She is shown as having had 6 kids, 4 still living. WHO AND WHERE ARE THE OTHER TWO KIDS? ARE THEY DANIEL OR BLANCHARD KIDS? WHEN AND WHERE DID JOSEPH DIE?
By 1910, Ann is living in Fisher Co. where her son James Warren Daniel and wife Stella Collins had been living. The two Stringer grandsons are shown in her home. WHAT HAPPENED TO THEIR MOTHER?
Stella is now a widow and temporarily living in NM for the health of one of her kids. By 1920 she is back in Texas, in Potter Co.. Ann is gone, and I can't find the Stringer boys. WHERE ARE THEY? FIGHTING IN WW1?
By 1930, James Daniel Stringer is in LA married to Mabel Schasteen/Chasteen and they and Herbert are living with Mabel's mother.
