Because of the searching online by Strickler family researcher Frank Duff who has kindly brought it to my attention, I now also have an excellent color version of this same double portrait that I can send along with the black-and-white one I had found. The color version is very much better.

In addition, the auction house website had the following genealogical information about the couple in the portrait:

"Benjamin Strickler (1799-1856) was born at Sapling Hill, Shenandoah Co., VA to David Strickler and Elizabeth Grove. Margaret Zirkle (1802-1876) was born at New Market, Shenandoah Co., VA to Lewis Zirkle and Nancy Caldwell. They were wed in 1822 and raised nine children at their home on Smith Creek, just east of New Market. This portrait was very possibly executed to commemorate their wedding."
