Thankful Susan Burget-Strickland-Childs-Blakely-Butler (abt 1834 d. aft 1910)
Posted by: Douglas Strickland (ID *****0361) Date: February 25, 2012 at 09:14:41

I am looking for specific birth, parentage, death, and burial information for Thankful Susan Strickland (born Burget(t), Berget(t), Burgit(t) or other possible variations) who as of 1910c was going by Thankful Susan Butler. Thankful Susan Burget married George Henry Strickland 30 Mar 1854 in MI. She had at least four children with George (Frank H., Chas?, Geo?, William A., Albert A., and Edgar D.) before his death between 1865 and 1869. Thankful was apparently married and divorced from James R. Childs and William Blakely after George Henry Strickland's death. She then married Norman Butler and apparently kept his name after he died. According to a number of her marriage records she was born in MI (Lodi, Leslie, or Locke). I have not been able to determine her parentage, date of death, or burial location. I am also seeking death and burial information for George Henry Strickland. Any vitals information related to Thankful Susan Butler (or Strickland) and/or George Henry Stricklandís would be greatly appreciated.
