Estate of Matt.ew Strickland
Then came into open Court, Thomas Greenfield and requested Letters of Assession of all and singular, the goods that all credits of Matthew Strickland, late of Calvert County, deceased, who died intestate (without a will) herewith is granted by the Court 1, whereupon the said Thomas Greenfield with Henry Fornerby, his security to a Sovereign Lord, the King, in the sum of Thirty pounds sterling, appeared for the said Administration of the said Estate.upon with ye oath of Administration was administered to the said Thomas Greenfield in Open Court with ordrs to give in inventory of the said Estate witin three moonths exhibit in his accounting ye said Estate within twelve months from the date of this court.The said Thomas Greenfield further requested of appraisors ~ might be appointed to appraise the Estate and that warrant issue out directed to mr. Thomas Holliday and their Majstys commission for Calvert County to swear the said Apparisors and to make attend apps.and sent wording to ye warr. ye to them directed.
At a Calvert County court held at Calvert town 19 day of jan in year 3rd George of the assigns at all Loss or signed Lord and Lady William and Mary by the Grace of God ~ King and Queen of England, Scotland FFR Anno Ireland, defender of ye Faith Pr. Annoz. in 1691 by their Majste, Justices, thereunto appointed authorized (EIZT.)

There is no mention of Elizabeth Strickland, nor the Lorains in this document.It looks like Matthew was alone when he died.
