Jean:Most likely I don't have anything more than you have on your William. If you have been reading my postings, you already know that I have been researching Gadi (my gggrandfather) for 25 years and still cannot find out who he was, only that we think he was born in Robeson Co. NC. I know he and all the Strickland clan who arrived in Tattnall Co.about 1800 were related, some brothers, some cousins. I think the answer is right in front of our noses.Because the county lines, both in NC, SC, and Ga., varied over several decades it has become an almost impossible task to find them all by land records. Everytime I see a posting on a William, Aaron,Henry,Thomas and David Strickland I read it very carefully. I believe my Gadi was brother to one of them. Also, he named his first son William. Keep in touch. I will look up William and send you what I have.
