Vandela Ann Wormington was my great-great grandmother. Her mother Nancy Stribling died sometime in 1859, shortly after Vandela was born. She then apparently went to live with her maternal grandparents, which I didn't know until I saw your posting. Her father John Benton Wormington re-married a Nancy Burton in December 1859 and had several more children. He died in 1878. I believe he is buried in the Schooling Cemetery, Lawrence County, MO.

Vandela married William E Tibbs in 1874 and had 5 children. She died March 17, 1884. She is buried in the Spring Grove Cemetery, Anthony Kansas. You can see a photo of her gravestone on the Find a Grave website - www.findagrave.com. It's listed under Vannie Tibbs.

Hope this helps. I have more info on her children, childrens-children, etc. if you want it.
