Dear Abigail,

I am Albert Hamilton Strettle Matthews (my son who is 8 years old is Connor Strettle McWilliam Matthews and daughter Elizabeth Maree Matthews who is 10 years old) writting for my mother Mrs Maria Finina Matthews (nee
Strettle) daughter of Hamilton Stratford Strettle born December 1887 Armidale Victoria Australia - son of Stratford Strettle born 6 Dean Street Cork 1845 who came to Australia with his father (Abraham Strettle) and
family, siblings etc to Melbourne Australia August 1852.

Abraham Strettle had a brewery named Strettle and Abbotts Brewery at 6 Dean Street Cork.

Elizabeth Strettle is related to my grandfather and I know that she married a Sullivan - Brett Roberts his my 2nd cousin and a great grand son of Hamilton Strettle.

My mother is very interested in locating the grave site of Elizabeth Sullivan's mother which we believe is in New York city New York as my mother's great grand father (Abraham Strettle) was to visit the family but
died 2 days out of New York on the Hapsburg in 1875. His remains were collected by Annie Miller and he was laid to rest beside his mother who was the mother of Elizabeth Sullivan.

We have been tring for years to get this information about the grave site from the US but with no luck to date. The last information we received from the family in the US was in 1934.

Any information or help you could provide would be greatly appreaciated.

Kind regards
Albert Matthews
