I found a death record at Hillcrest Abbey Crematory& Mausoleum in St. Louis for:
Chr. Rud. Streiff 27 Oct. 1891
This fits. I am sure that this is the Streiff I am looking for. In your family page you have Rudolph Streiff b.Sept. 15, 1836 d. Aug 30, 1920. Those dates match those that I found for a jeweler in St. Louis, Rudolph C. Streiff.He is buried in Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Desoto,Jefferson Co.,Missouri. Also buried there is Caroline b. Sept.23 1837 d. Oct. 7 1896, and Sophi b. Dec. 7, 1882 d. Dec 13, 1884. I feel real strongly that these are father and son. Possibly mother and sister??I haven't been able to locate them on any census, marriage, or birth records though. I can't verify any connection. I tried contacting Phil like you suggested but my e-mail wouldn't go through. If you come across any of these people I would love any help you can lend.
