Sandra - My brother and I travelled to Kisdorog last October to trace our roots. My great grandfather also came from there and was named Josef Streicher with a wife named Anna (nee Schumacher). They had 4 children I think (Josef Jr., Matthew, John, and Mary). We went there because Josef Jr and his family (3 kids born in Milwaukee prior to WWI) moved back to Hungary in 1922 to take over the family farm. Two of the Three kids are still alive (Anna 90 and Rosie 84) and live near Munich with their families. They were evicted from their farm after WWII by the Communists. The family of Anna was able to reclaim their farm (not the Streicher property but the Schumacher farm) and Anna's daughter Magdalena is turning it into a summer retirement home. I believe my sister-in-law Sharyn may have already contacted you about our visit. There are about 10 Streicher families in Kishdorog and only two are supposedly related. If you want you can call me toll free at the office 888 797 3900 and I will be glad to share what I can. I am curious about your family tree. Regards Matt Streicher
