I don't think Samuel Salisbury was born in Bennington either. You have provided some info on his service that I didn't have and I wasn't sure why the book I have pages from (not the Carp book by the way the other one) a book that you also have -- indicated that he had been born in VT actually so I am glad that you brought that up. I guess that Amos Carpenter book was indicating that Ruth was born in Nelson as sometimes they do the thing where they are talking about a town that was located in a certain location later. Don't know why they want to gum things up but I have run into that with other lines as well.
