We have created a new DNA project: The Ards Peninsula Families DNA Project:
http://www.familytreedna.com/public/ardsdnaproject/
Due to the large potential size of this project, we actually have two websites. The 2nd website can be accessed from the "News" tab on our main web site.
The Ards Peninsula lies in the eastern section of County Down in Northern Ireland.
There are historical records for Stratton families who lived on the Ards Peninsula, and so we have listed Statton as one of the surnames that are eligible to join the Ards Project.
The Ards Project is a geographic project, and so you can join at no cost, if you have already been tested and joined a Stratton surname project at FTDNA. If you have not, you can buy a test kit through our project web site, and receive our substantial group discount.
If you think that your Stratton family might have come from the Ards Peninsula of Northern Ireland, you might want to check out our web sites, and consider joining our Ards Project.
