I have an original carte de visite photograph of the wedding of “Charles S. Stratton and Lavinia Warren”, which I’d like to get back to family members if possible. Photo was taken in 1863, in New York City. Unfortunately when I obtained the photo, it had been broken in half, although it is below the faces, and surely could be restored.
I found this couple as midgets who achieved fane with P.T. Barnum. Charles Stratton went by the name General_ Tom_ Thumb. There are many websites devoted to Little People and on many, I found the DOB for Charles was 4 Jan 1838 Bridgeport, CT; he died in 1883. Lavinia Warren was born 31 Oct Middleboro, MA. After Charles died, Lavinia married Count Primo Magri, and she died in 1919.
