I did a "Google search" but I can't remember exactly which words I used. I jotted down a little bit (because it wouldn't let me print it). "Psychic Roots: Serendipity and Intution in Genealogy" by Henry Z. Jones, Genealogical Pub. 1993 "Carol Boice Jones De Paul of Pittsburg, PA writes ..." "William ... disappeared from the face of the earth about 1825" " ... had probably been born in 1790's, served in War of 1812 ... married Priscilla McMichael (1797-1855) in August of 1816 ... had six children: Nancy, Ellen, Jane, Mary, John McMichael Boice and Robert W. Boice, all born between 1817-1826 ..." "Madelene was a descendent of William Holmes Boyce (sometimes Boice) born 26 Mar 1797 in Washington Co., PA. he served in the War of 1812. Married Esther Strasser 24 Nov 1831, Stark Co., OH and moved frequently throughout the state. ... died 22 Oct 1865 in Jackson Co.... seven sons; William, Benjamin, Frederick, James, Samuel, Daniel, and Ebenezer..." The story in the book discussed how one person who was descended from William's first wife finally conected with two people from Wm. and Esther Strasser. So his first wife didn't die until 1855 and he married Esther in 1831. If you can't track the whole story down on a "Google search" let me know and I will try again to find it.
