Strahans from Kentucky

I am trying to find the connection between and more information about Alexander, Joseph and James Strahan from Kentucyky.

In the 1850 Census you find an Alexander, James and Joseph Strahan in Brown Co., IL, all from Kentucky. James is 23 years of age and is married to a Mahalia, also from Kentucky. Joseph is age 43 and Alexander is age 34.

In the 1860 Census you find Alexander in Lamar CO., TX and Joseph in Denton Co., TX. I can't find James anyplace. But there is a James Strohan enlisted in the CSA in Lamar Co., TX.

In the 1870 Census you find Alexander in Washington CO., AR, and you find James and his wife Harriet in Franklin CO., AR, which is the county adjoining Washington CO. One of Joseph's older son's is living in Denton CO. In the 1880 census Joseph's wife, Eve Strahan is living with a daughter in Washington Co., AR, so I am wondering if some stayed in Texas and some went to Arkansas in the 1870s - just speculating.

James and Harriet Strahan are my Great-Great-Grandparents and I am trying to determine if these are relatives of his and to find out more about him. They married in 1969 in Franklin CO., AR and he died around 1877.

I would appreciate any information.
