I am looking for two gg Uncles who emigrated to Canada possibly in the 1860's.
William Strachan b 21 July 1835 Huntly Abd Scotland. He apprenticed as s shoemaker.
John Strachan b 2 January 1839 Huntly Abd Scotland. He apprenticed as a tailor.
Parents were William Strachan and Jane Guthrie.
I am not sure if either of them married in Scotland or here in Canada (the records here are very sketchy before 1869).
They were living with their sister Margaret Munro (nee Strachan) either on Old Road or Nelson Street in Huntly. She & her Husband George Munro emigrated to Canada in 1869 with their son William
