Hi Sharon -
First of all let me state that I have no official documentation to back up my theory except the census. This is the way I have it figured.
Martha Mahalia Stowers b. 10/1883 (although census documents have her age differing) to Moses Colby (M C)Stowers and Anna Perkins around the Fairbury, NE area.
She married Charles (Charley) Hart in 1898 and on the 1900 census a child, Alma-1yr, is listed. On the 1910 census, children listed are: Alma-11yrs, Alice-9yrs, and Glenard-3yrs. On the 1920 census she is listed as Martha Roe, wife of Phillip Roe and her son, Hollis Hart-7yrs, is living with them in Topeka, KS. On the 1930 census, Hollis-17yrs is listed as living with his father, Charlie Hart and his wife Anice M Hart in Pond Creek, OK. I know that Martha's father and mother are from that area and are buried in the Manchester cemetery. Martha's brother Vance and many of his family members are buried in the Pond Creek cemetery.
I hope this helps in your research.
