Yes, the house is still standing. We are in the middle of a major rehab right now, and pretty exhausted at this point! Here's link to my blog

The house is on the State of Michigan and the National Register of Historic Places. I can put some details together on what I have found about the house.

I would love to be able to access your tree - thanks much. I know that they moved to Coldwater, Branch County, after selling the house to David Wood in 1846. Matthew Hasbrouck bought the house in 1861, and there were a few gaps over the years but it was mostly owned by his descendants since that time. The actual date of construction is muddy. I need to go to the regional archives to search tax records, but it is assumed to have been built between 1837 and 1841.
