I found the subject studio portrait of an elderly woman taken by M. A. Loomis, Jefferson, OH. It is identified on the back of the mount in period handwriting:

"Aunt Mary Stowe Tilden"

This individual is included in several Public Member Trees posted on ancestry.com. She is listed in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 Census data for Saybrrok, Ashtabula Co., OH, and the 1880 Census data for Lenox, Ashtabula Co., OH.

Mary Ann Tilden, born 1826 in Clinton, OH, died 17 Feb 1910 in Pomeroy, Meigs Co., OH, was the daughter of Benoni (or Benneny) Stowe (1804-1860), and Mary Ann Wilson (1801-1860). In 1849, she married a farmer, Daniel Tilden, born 14 May 1821 in Hiram, Portage Co., OH, died 1872 in Saybrook, Ashtabula Co., OH. The couple had two children: Adelbert D. Tilden, born 1 Jun 1850 in Saybrook, Ashtabula Co., OH, died 11 Jan 1919 in Riverside Co., CA, and Ida M. Tilden, born Mar 1855 in OH.
