Thank you very much for the information. Ida Ferguson was my great aunt. My gm was her half sister. I have been trying to fill in blanks for her father (GD Ferguson) and her biography. I remember my grandmother telling us about her mother and father taking care of the children after Ida died. She said that when John remarried they moved to SC and they all cried and never saw them again. I don't know if my grandmother ever was in contact with the children as they grew older. Ida is buried at the DeLay cemetery in Statham along with children George and Eunice. My g-gm is buried there as well. I believe George D. Ferguson is buried beside her and his first wife next to him also, but their graves are unmarked. George D. Ferguson was married to Mary Unknown (possibly Jones or Imes) and had three children; Ida, Frank and Will. Mary died when Will was born. George later married Martha Frances (Frankie) Jackson and they had two children: Mary Frances (Fannie) and Martha Belle (Mattie, my gm). My gm named two or her children after Ida's. They were my uncle Belvy and my aunt Mary Estelle. I have been working on my family for a number of years hoping to get something together for my grandchildren. I have pretty much connected the major members but am now going back and adding collateral family. I realize it will never be complete. It is always exciting when I get an answer to an old post. Thank you again. If there is any information that you have or any that you need from me, please let me know. Beverly
