Stowe in Bermuda

I agree with Mitchell. I have 17 Stowes in my Bermuda lines & have trouble with the links. BERMUDA SETTLERS OF THE 17TH CENTURY by Julia E. Mercer lists this:

"1629. Baptism of a daughter of JOHN STOWE but no name given."

"1658 Feb 2nd. THOMAS STOWE married MARY ASKEW."

"1668. July 6. An agreement between THOMAS STOWE of George's parish, mariner, FRANCIS COOPER of same parish & FRANCIS COOPER, JR. The latter with the consent of his father, F. C. Senr., & of SAMUEL SMITH, his late Master, binds himself to STOWE until he reaches 22 years of age...[goes on about apprenticeship agreement]"

And I understand there are Stowes in Bermuda to this day.

Happy Hunting!
