Stowes- Mecklenburg County 1700-1800

According to a family history passed down from a great aunt many years ago, there were three Stowe brothers- William, Wilson, and Larkin -in America at the beginning of the Revolutionary War. They were with George Washinton during the entire war. After peace was established, William went back to England for a wife. Upon returning he settled in Mecklenburg County, NC where he farmed. His son, William's. children were, William,Archie, Amy Stowe Spears, Lu Stowe Dorton, and Betsy Stowe Johnson. Does anyone else have information on this branch of the Stowe?
