Millican, Stout, Goodman, Cox Bybee, Boren
I have traced my Millican family back to 1810 in Lees Creek, Arkansas. It stated William M. Millican was born in Tennessee. His sister was Cecil Frances Millican Stout. She was living beside William in Arkansa in 1850. The Stouts and the millicans moved to Collin County, Texas before 1856. William married first a Rebecca who dies before 1860, He then marries Amanda Boren Bybee. When William dies she marries his business partner Mr. Groves. I read somewhere that Bybee, Millican and Groves were business partners, but I do not know what there business might be. The Bybee ancestors were Quakers from North Carolina.
I find a Millican family, in Georgia, marrying Lumpkins. I, then, find the Lumpkins and Cleghorns, who had married earlier in Georgia, in Collin County, Texas marrying a line of Watts. My line of Millicans marries this Watts line. This all happened before 1900.
I can not find William M. Millican's family in Tennessee. Does anyone know if his line went to Georgia, and , then returned to Tennessee? He has children born in Tennessee prior to going to Arkansas. Does anyone have any information on the Goodman/Stout families and how they might be related to William M. Millican?a
My husband's Cox family marries the Bybees in Lampasses, Tx.
