Louisa Greene, b. 17 Feb 1837, was a daughter of Robert Greene and Chaney Elrod. Her known siblings were William, b. abt. 1838, Judge Leonidas Leander Greene, b. 11 Nov 1845 who married Martha (Mattie) Horton, and Elizabeth Greene, b. abt. 1849, who married Joseph M. Stafford.
Louisa married 1st, Jesse Storie, b. 1834, probably Davidson Co, NC, son of Joshua Storie and Dicey Greene. He was killed in the Civil War, 1863. Leander, Thomas Carroll and Martha E. Story were/are their children.
In the 1880 census for Blowing Rock, Watauga Co, NC, in Louisa Story's houshold, is Laura Jane Stafford, b. 1872, who is identified as her daughter. Laura Jane was/is my great grandmother.
Louisa eventually married Robert Oliver West, a widower with children and moved to Tarrant Co, TX, where she died.
The father of Laura Jane Stafford is a mystery.
I haven't been able to determine which "William" Greene is connected to this family and I have very little information about Laura Jane's siblings, the Story children.
If anyone has any information about this family, I would so appreciate it.
