I think the 24 Mar 1848 marriage date for Powell & Mary is not valid. That marriage date belongs to the Mary Story who married John Sink, not Powell Sink. This couple, Mary & John, are well documented and there's no way this John is our Powell.

Still looking myself for any clue about the Mary Story who married Powell Sinks.
