Researching a Jim Story born abt 1922, served in WWII
died in Linn County, Oregon in 1952(logging accident(29 yr) leaving 3 children
and wife n/o Cathelene Poole Story.Jim a made up name as
he did not have one. Trying to locate his parents.
1930 census states he was born in Monroe County, ark. he is living with grandparents Irene and Charley Williams. His name listed as Jay C. Story. Believe this is the census taker trying to put some kind of first name down and came up with J.C. spelling it Jay. I understand he did use the initials at times for a name. His WWII shows Jim C. Story He had a brother Elmer also which I have been unable to find. Anyone got any ideas to help? Appreciate any suggestions. Elizabeth
