Ok, found my notes from home... I don't think it is the same Herb Storey. The one I have was born in 1889 (although, that may not be correct... it's the same year that his brother Lorne is listed as... I have to wait to talk to Christina again to see if they were twins), and he ended up in Calgary. His parents were Charles James Storey (1859-1942) and Margaret Anne Boyle (1859-1949). Both of them were from Ontario, and married in Manitoba in 1884. Herb has died, but I am not sure when (after Feb. 12, 1980, when his brother Ivan died and was buried in Darlingford, Manitoba.
I have several William Storey's, depending on which generation you want. The earliest I have in my lineage is a William Storey born in 1819 in Cork, Ireland, and who came across with his parents John Story (1773-????, but I believe he died in Ontario) and Margaret Latimer, along with 6 of their kids (1 had come to Canada a little earlier, 1 was married and stayed in Ireland, and 3 had died) in 1838 to the Fitzroy township in Ontario. I also have a note that their name was originally spelt STORY, butmost of them changed their name to STOREY after they came to Manitoba (around 1878).
