Hello cousins,

This is my first time on the Stoneburner message board. It looks like we have an interesting family history back to Germany. My great, great, great Grandmother was Eliza Jane Stone burner, DOB 10/19/1837 in Indiana and DOD- 1/22/1914 in Pillager, Minnesota. I live in Minneapolis, MN. Eliza's Mother was Christiana Stoneburner, my g,g,g,g,Grandmother. All we know about Christiana is that she was born in 1803 in Virginia. She was married but we don't know her husbands first name. They had three children as listed in the 1850 Iowa census. The children were Mary A., Elias and Eliza Jane(my connection). The census says that Mary A. was 18 at the time, and Elias was 15. They were both listed as being born in Ohio between 1832-1835. Eliza Jane was born in 1837 in Indiana and listed as 13 at the time of the 1850 Iowa census. Christiana does not have a husband listed in the 1850 Iowa Census.

Eliza Jane left Iowa in 1901 with two of her three children, William Henry Swaim(31 at the time) and Ida Swaim(26 at the time)and moved to Pillager, MN. Eliza Jane Stoneburner Swaim is burried in Bridgeman Cemetary in Pillager, MN. Eliza's Husband Joshua Turner Swaim moved to Oklahoma.

Does anyone have information that would lead me toward Christiana's husbands name? Or, do you know where Elias or Mary A went? How do the above mentioned ancestors fit into the larger Stoneburner family tree?

Thank you cousins for any information that you can provide.
Please feel free to contact me by

Kind Regards,

William (Stoneburner)Swaim
