William M. Stonebraker was the eighth and final child of John D. Stonebraker II and his second wife Rebecca (More?). He was born in 1827 in Spencer Co., KY and moved to Lincoln, Co., MO with his parents in 1832. He married Frances Maria Holmes in Lincoln Co., MO on 6 Apr 1848 and went to the California Gold Rush the following year on their Honeymoon. They were bothrecorded as miners in the 1850 census of Eldorado Co., CA, but were listed as farmers in the 1852 State Census.By 1860 he was found in Napa/Lake Co., CA where he was a pioneer pear farmer in the area near Kelseyville, CA and later owned and operated a Pork Packing Plant. He fathered six children and died in the Kelseville area on 17 Apr 1900. His name is still remembered with respect by the citizens of Kelseyville although there are none of his descendents living nearby.
