Bill, in all of your research on the Stone family have you ever run across the name Sabra? Sabra Stone, my great great grandmother was born in 1792 and married John Glass circa 1816. The only information I have on the family is from the Glass family Bible which includes the birth dates of the children but there are some similarities with your family that I find interesting and would like to explore. The first son was listed in the Bible as W.A. I do not what the A stood for but his brother Benjamin B. later had a son named William Archibald. As for Benjamin B, again I do not know what the B stands for but wonder if it could be Bean. Finally, Sabra and John's daughter Jane married Nicholas S. Stone. Could he have been a younger brother, nephew or cousin? John and Sabra lived in Chatham Co. Sabra died in 1854, John in 1859. If you have any information that could help me learn more about this famiy I would be most grateful. By the way, I grew up in Sanford (the Carbonton area) and am there every other weekend to visit my mother. I now live in Raleigh. Thanks again for your time.
