I don't know the parents' names of Thomas and Barbara STONE of Baltimore Co., MD.Christian(a) was the name of one of Thomas' wives.I had not seen the PARRISH surname associated with them before.Nor have I ever before heard of the name of Christiana PARRISH.John and Elizabeth (WARREN) STONE were from Charles Co., MD (if I recall correctly). However, that family has been thoroughly researched without any evidence ever being uncovered showing that Barbara (STONE) GARRETT was related to that family.Thomas had no children, according to available records.Barbara's children by Dennis GARRETT (also GARET) were two daughters, Johanna (or Hannah?) and Frances.Johanna might have been named after James GARRETT's wife Johanna (m. 1671).(Appears that James became a runaway in 1674 or 1675.There may be some connection to Robert GARRETT, GARRET or GERRET, planter, who was in Balto. Co. by Aug. 1672 when conveyed land.Per MD Rent Rolls c. 1706-1724, Robert GARRETT "... deserted this province 26 yeares agoe.")The following comments are speculative only, based on the name of Barbara's (second?) daughter Frances.Thomas and Barbara STONE may have been related to Francis STONE in the southeast of England, not far from the border area of Counties Sussex and Surrey where a Dennis GERRAT was baptized in 1649.Francis STONE was christened on 1 Oct. 1626 at Saint Botolph Bishopsgate, London (just north of Surrey). He was the son of Thomas and Agnes STONE (IGI record).Beyond speculation, I have no suggestions. If I had the time, I'd obtain all possible documents concerning Thomas STONE of Balto. Co., transcribe and type them, and then compose a biographical sketch of him.I've used that technique before as an investigative tool, sometimes disclosing new insights.Bear in mind, though, that thousands of immigrants came to VA and MD in the 17th century without any record of their names - either on ship lists, indentures, or on land warrants/patents as headrights.
