My grandmother was Grace Elizabeth Stokes. Her parents were Laura Elizabeth (Calder) and Frederick Spencer Stokes - originally from Huntingdon,Cambridgeshire. They were married on Nov 16 1873 in Shoreditch, London. Laura and Frederick came to New Zealand in the late 1870s. For your interest, Grace had a sister Lillian and two brothers Leonard and Frederick - all exceptionally musical. I would love to know more of this Stokes line.
