Stohler, Germany>Russia>ND, USA
I'd like to hear from anyone related to Stohlers who settled in North Dakota around 1900.
Henry Stohler (b. abt 1854) and wife Katherine (b. abt. 1865) immigrated in 1902 and settled in McLean Co., North Dakota.Katherine's maiden name was apparently Deisselberger. Her mother, Katherine (b. abt. 1840), also immigrated and was living with them in 1910.
This family is noted as being from Russia, but German speaking. They were of German extration, and probably had lived in southern Russian or Ukraine, perhaps around Kassel or Odessa, and perhaps in the German colony at Gluckstal, Ukraine.
Some relation moved to Idaho and Oregon.
