Elizabeth Stogsdill/Stockstill was the wife of Welcome Bennett. Lindley Couch's wife Susanna was an Atnip which might connect with Atnips in another MO county; Lindley was related to the Couch/Stogsdill line. Curious how William Evans and his wife Angeline were related.
There was a Mary Couch/Crouch who married James McGhee; one of their sons was named Larkin. Our William and Rebecca named one of their sons Larkin. Could that be a possible connection between Malinda Couch who married into the Stogsdill line and this Mary Couch/Crouch?
Have you found any possible connection between the Thomas Hay family, Robert Williams family and the Couch line--all on same 1850 Dade Co. census and from SC?
Also hoping that Henry Small 22 TN on the same census page might connect with the Small/Smalley family in Hamilton Co., TN. Then there was Lucinda Stillwell in 1870 Madison Co., Arkansas--could she be related to the Bennett or Stogsdill line?
