Who are William and Henry Stodieck's Parents?
Henry Herman Stodieck Sr. was born in Hanover, Germany in September 21, 1838.His father was a successful veterinarian, and well to do.
Henry arrived in the US on the passenger ship "Neptune".The ship left Bremen, Germany and arrived in New Orleans on December 16, 1856.
Along came our Civil War (1861-1865), an he was drafted into the 9th Ohio Infantry, Company G., where he served throughout the entire war.
After the war, on May 23, 1867, he married a German girl named Mary Schwenser from Minster, Auglaize, Ohio. They were married in the town of Hamilton. They had four children;Henry Jr., Fred, Annie, and Gustave.Gustave died in infancy.
Henry moved to St. Louis for awhile to live near his brother William.

I don't have a lot of information on William other than
William married Elizabeth Blaetz, January 07, 1851 in St. Louis, Missouri.
They had a son named John Stodieck, Sr. who married Mary and they had a son John Stodieck, Jr. born May 15, 1912 and died in 1976.
Anyone have any clues?
Thanks,
Russ
