John Stockton, of Wise County, Texas, who married Ollie McGee, was the son of William "Bill" Lemuel 6 Stockton. This Stockton line descends from Davis 1 Stockton of Albemarle County, Virginia. I have a great deal of information about this Stockton family including jpegs of some very nice old maps, surveys, deeds and wills that I can send to you. John 7 Stockton's great-grandfather, Peter Harget 4 Stockton, married a first cousin, Rachel 4 Stockton. All descendents of Peter Harget 4 and Rachel 4 (nee Stockton) Stockton are "double" Stocktons.
