I am seeking information on Richard C. Stockton who was a Lawyer in or around New Orleans, La. in 1835. My ancestor, George Medart, was indentured to him on September 3, 1835 at age 9 years to study and be cared for by Mr. Stockton until he reached the age of 21 years. He was sponsered by his brother Jacob (Jacques) Medart.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
