It appears my Stocker line in Tuscarawas may not link to the one mentioned on this board, ergo I am posting the little I have:
CLOSMAN (Crosland in some records) R.STOCKER b 9/16/1881 Muskingham Co.Oh. He married CINDERELLA CORNELIUS CRITES 12/31/1902 daughter of DANIEL & CATHERIN BORN. Cinderella b. 7/2/1879 Tuscarawas d. 2/21/1962 Tuscarawas & buried Port Washington. They had 3 sons: CLOSMAN PAUL STOCKER b.1904 d.1978 Cuyahoga co.
GLENN CRITES STOCKER b.1905 d.1958 Tuscarawas
RALPH DOYLE STOCKER b.1909 d.11/1997 m. HELEN FOWLER
Ralph owned * operated Stocker Hardware in New Philadelphia & was the Deputy County Auditor & Mayor of New Philadelphia.
Anxious to hear if this may be your line. Have tons of info on the CRITES & BORNS - nothing on STOCKER other than this.
Doyle supposedly wrote an extensive family history prior to his death & would love to find out what happened to it. Also it may uncover a lot of other missing info re: other of my family surnames: STROBEL, DREISBACH, GREEN, ROSE, TINKER, HAWKINS, PURDY .... to name a few.
