Mary Jo,
As you can see, the response to the previous two posts was non-existent!I really know no more about this subject than I did back in March. My ancestor, Michael Stocker, was born in the Palatinate near Schauffhausen in either 1700 or 1701.He was an only son.He was, therefore, the only Palantine Stocker in my line to come to America.Of course, there could have been Stocker 1st cousins who came to America before Michael. However, I have no information regarding that.Since you trace your lineage to a John Stocker who was born in Philadephia in 1723, it seems unlikely that our lines are linked. As I indicated in my last post here, I found Stockers in Philadelphia circa 1650.Anthony and Samuel are a couple of names that I recall.I still assume that they were English Stockers. It seems likely that your John Stocker is related to those guys.I stumbled across that line quite a few years ago in the Mormon records.Perhaps, if you looked there again for Anthonys and Samuels, you might find a link to your John.
If I can be of any further assistance, do not hesitate to ask.I am sorry that I could not assist more.
