I am a descendent of Benjamin and Mary Stockbridge Singletary. My Singletary ancestors came from Bladen Co. N.C. to Rankin Co. MS. about 1836/37. I am descended from the line of Jonathan Singletary. Thanks to the Singletary Family History written by Yvonne Miller Brunton in 1989, I was able to find the missing data and document my heritage to Richard Singletary of Haverhill,MA. My Singletary line has continued with thirteen male generations to carry on the Singletary name. My family is very proud of this fact. It is our hope that this name shall never die!!! However; I'm very proud of the Stockbridge name and since we both are descended from John's third wife, Mary Broughton, I need to know if you have traced Mary Broughton Stockbridge's line of the Broughtons. I cannot seem to find any information on that particular line of Broughtons. I would like to continue my search and was hoping that you might be able to help me or know of someone that does have information concerning Mary Brougton's family.This is very important to complete another line in our family.
