*Five O'Finigan brothers come to America during the Irish Potato Famine.(1845-1852) Not all on same ship.

* All five O' Finigan brothers drop the "O" in the last name.

FAMILY ORAL HISTORY:
* One Finigan brother helped begin the Armor Meat Company. * One Finigan brother went "up north."
* One Finigan brother went to Texas.
* One Finigan brother was hanged.
* One Finigan brother went to California, probably San Franscico.

Owen Finigan
Mike Finigan
Peter Finigan
Patrick Finigan
Arthur Finigan
James Finigan
Jim Finigan
Miles Finigan

* A brother Frank Finigan was left in Liverpool, England. * Maggie and Margaret are female family names.

* One of the five Finigan brothers was Miles(married to Margaret or "Maggie").Miles emigrated in 1852 on the ship Merlin. I am Miles O'Finigan's decendant.

Miles came first to New York in 1852, moving to Cincinnati, Ohio where he sold flowers. Children: Jim, Maria, Margaret, Owen, Julia. Later Miles Finigan moved to Texas. Son, Owen Finigan married Mary Elizabeth Montgomery, living in states of Texas and Arkansas.
