My g.g.grandfather William Stirrat had an older brother Robert who was married to Mary Robertson. At least that is what we think. Robert had a son Dougal Born August 14, 1861 in Dredhorn, Ayr, Scotland.
Robert Stirrat and Mary Robertson married March 7, 1839 in Abbey Paisley Renfrew Scotland. Robert was born 1820 in Abbey Paisley.
According to the date of birth we have listed for Dougal he would have been 25 years old in 1886.
I received some of this from a descendant of Robert Stirrat who lives in Australia.
