I've started searching a family line that goes to Scotland. It has a Agnes Stirrat/Sturret that married a James Stewart May 26, 1805 in Kirkoswald. I know of one daughter of this marriage, a Marion Limond Stewart who was born abt. 1810 in Symington, Ayr.. She died June 25, 1874 in Dreghorn. Her husband's name was Edward Dougharty, and they were married Mar.26, 1826. I would like to find out more about this family and trace if further back, if possible. Thanks for any help.
