I have never investigated my family tree, so when my daughter found this site while casually browsing on-line I became intrigued. About all I know of the Stirrat side of my family is my great grandfather's name was Samuel and he resided in NYC. He married Margaret Murray. I know this from information on my grandfather's birth certificate. His name was Frank, and he was born in Manhattan on January 11, 1899. I knew two of his sisters, Elizabeth Antz and Mabel Rauert (sp?). Frank's son, my father, was named Franklin. He was born in Brooklyn on July 19, 1928. Please let me know if this information correlates with any information that you have.
